Make your Brain receptive enough to recall anything

By Association, I mean relating to something familiar. Whatever you read try to associate it to everyday business, or something funny or something you are very much familiar with.  It is like getting a clue to any formula.  Or let’s say you have something you want to attach to another thing and you get glue and use it to glue them together. Association or evidence to boost facts is like glue that can help attach what you read to your mind and keep it there for a long time.

This whole concept reminded me of when I was in the secondary school, my Geography teacher was an expert in boosting facts with everyday evidence. He did it so well that even today if I see the word glacial for example I remember ice block and the fridge which are everyday evidences of the topic of glaciology in Geography. Another is sand dune which is glued to my mind by merely associating it with the common sands on the street.

For any topic at all that you read, it has a physical representation that is why it is a course or subject in the first place. In social science, pure science, humanities etc, no matter what it is there is always a common everyday thing to link it with, all you have to is find something to associate what you read with. By doing so, you make your brain receptive enough to recall anything. As long as you can remember the common everyday things you associated what you read with, you will remember the vital points of what you read and eventual the whole stuff.
