Two Simple Ways to Prepare for Your IELTS Test

I have written the IELTS test and scored 8.5 on my first attempt. Let me walk through the two very simple and basic ways to prepare and ace the test. First, you need to Understanding the test format and then give yourself at least 4 weeks to practice with the test materials found on IELTS website or any other website that offers it.

It's that simple. All IELTS has four basic formats, listening, reading, writing and speaking. The purpose is to test your use of vocabulary. Meaning you need to pay close attention to how you use your vocabulary, in listening, reading, writing and speaking.

You will be tested on your listening skills, your reading skills, your writing skills as well as your speaking skills. In listening skills, you will have to listen to what someone is saying with an earpiece on and then write as instructed. The test is fun because it's basic stuff. In reading skills, you will need to test and answer the questions that follow. It's a normal English comprehensive test, that eight years old can attempt. As for the writing skills, you will be required to write an easy about a simple topic. Like I stated earlier, the purpose of the IELTS is to test your vocabulary in English. Then finally, speaking skill is some sort of interview, where you are required to speak coherently.

As earlier stated all you need is practice, practice, practice. If you should take time out to practice with the materials made available on IELTS website, you stand a chance of acing the test. Good luck.
